An MVV is usually applied for by the referent (employer/university etc.) directly with the IND in the Netherlands. In some cases, the application can also be submitted at a Dutch embassy. If you wish to submit an application for an MVV here at the Embassy, we advise you to contact the Embassy via email: email@example.com
All MVV applications are processed, approved or refused by the IND (Dutch Migration board). The advice from the IND, will be automatically forwarded to the embassy. When there is a positive advice, the MVV can be picked up at the Dutch embassy in the applicants’ home country or at the Dutch Embassy in the country where the applicant holds a valid residence permit. For MVV applicants with residence permits in Sweden, Norway or Iceland, the MVV can be taken at the Dutch Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden.
When an applicant receives word that there is a positive advice for his or her MVV application, the applicant must contact the Dutch Embassy in Stockholm for information about the pick-up procedure and to make an appointment: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note: To be able to obtain an MVV from the Dutch Embassy in Stockholm, the applicant has to have a valid Swedish, Norwegian or Icelandic residence permit.
At the Embassy the applicant has to submit the required documents along with his or her passport. The application will then be sent along with the passport to The Hague where the MVV is issued. The passport will then be sent back to the Embassy in Stockholm or Oslo where the applicant can pick up the passport. The passport can also be sent to the applicant with registered mail. This procedure will take approximately 2weeks.
please find the information about the documents here.
For Applicants living in Norway:
If you are travelling back and forth to Stockholm, you will most likely need your passport to travel back. In that case you may bring your passport with you for the flight back to Norway. As soon as you are back in Norway, you have to submit your passport personally or send the passport with registered mail to the Dutch Embassy in Oslo. From there the passport will be forwarded to The Hague. There the MVV sticker will be issued. The passport will then be sent back to the Embassy in Stockholm or Oslo where the applicant can pick up the passport. The passport can also be sent to the applicant with registered mail. This procedure will take approximately 2 weeks.
There are 3 types of visas you can apply for. Check which one applies to you. See the information in the left menu.
