CSR, or corporate social responsibility, is increasingly becoming a way of distinguishing your company from others. By actively engaging in ethical forms of trade beyond the direct economic interests of the firm, companies with a CSR business model stimulate other companies to do the same. The Dutch company Tony’s Chocolonely has effectively implemented such a business model with their mission to 100% slave-free chocolate. They have received several rewards for their work including the Dutch Marketing Award in the category ‘Marketing Next…’ in 2014, Dutch Entrepeneur of the Year Prize and a grant from The Oranje Trade Mission Fund in 2015.
